In office since August 2018, Ebba Ljungerud left his post as CEO of the Paradox Interactive studio yesterday. Of the " differences of opinion on the future strategy of the company are invoked by the company to justify this resignation.

Pending the appointment of a new CEO, it is the previous occupant of the position, Fredrik Wester, who takes over the reins of the company. He leaves de facto the presidency of the board of directors of Paradox Interactive, which he yields to his assistant Håkan Sjunnesson.

Un bilan positiv pour Ebba Ljungerud

“Ebba has done a fantastic job as CEO of Parados Interactive. During his tenure, our player base has grown and our development plans have strengthened, providing the company with a solid foundation for future growth, Sjunnesson wrote in a press release. We regret that she has decided to resign, but we wish her the best in her future endeavours”.

During his three years at the head of the company, Ebba Ljungerund piloted the acquisition of several studios (Harebrained Schemes, Playrion, Iceflake Studios) and offered Paradox Interactive its most brilliant financial results.

In 2020, the turnover of the Swedish studio amounted to 178 million euros, against 106,2 million euros when he took office. Good results can be attributed in particular to the Crusader Kings III box, of which a PS5 and Xbox Series X|S version has just been announced. The highly anticipated strategy game Victoria III was also announced last May.
