Rather discreet for some time, Overwatch 2 will talk about him again on the occasion of the Finals of theOverwatch League 2021 season.
This will open hostilities on September 25, and we will discover the reworks of Sombra and Bastion, the new appearance of the latter and an exhibition match bringing together various professional players.

Overwatch 2 as an appetizer before the Finals
The 2021 Season of the Overwatch League, paradoxically one of the most interesting to date, despite the massive loss of sponsors given the situation at Blizzard, is about to present its Finals. But, before the big show, Overwatch 2 will make a brief appearance.
The Overwatch Team will indeed take advantage of the event to present the reworks of Sombra and Bastion as well as the new appearance of our dear robot friend of nature. As a reminder, Overwatch 2 will oppose two teams of five players, instead of the current six. Only one player will fill the tank role, and it is necessary to review the balance of all heroes accordingly. The Overwatch League Finals will therefore be an opportunity to discover a first draft of this global rebalancing.
We'll also get to see the sequel to Blizzard's hit FPS in action in the hands of pro gamers in an exhibition match. It will be a taste, so to speak, since a prototype of Overwatch 2 will be used as soon as the Overwatch League Season 2022 opens next April.
