Entangled in a complicated launch, Outriders has come a long way and its availability within the Xbox Game Pass has certainly been a lifesaver for it. Aware of the many projects to be implemented in their FPS, the developers of People Can Fly have decided to go all out for this update.
The frustrating loot of the game was one of the points to improve and, for once, the teams wanted to tweak it so that it corresponded more to the expectations of the players. Thus, players will no longer roll their eyes when recovering their loot, because they will no longer recover materials already in their possession. Better still, the loot of legendary equipment has been improved and they can even be recovered via Tiago's mystery boxes.
And because legendary equipment doesn't have the same flavor until it bears the stamp of its owner, People Can Fly has thought of a customization system which, thanks to the Transmog, allows you to give it the appearance of your choice without altering its characteristics.
Frustration-free shipments
Another big new feature of the New Horizon update is the addition of new Expeditions. As its name suggests, four new expeditions make their debut and feed the post-game content of Outriders. We therefore find: Molten Dephts, The Marshal's Complex, The Wellspring and City of Nomads.
Always to counteract the frustration of the players, the operation of expeditions has also been reviewed and, from now on, they no longer have a time counter. Players can now explore the lands of Enoch without having their eyes glued to the timer!
Finally, to continue the analogy with the title of the update, New Horizon is sweeping the boundaries between different game media by introducing a crossplay feature that will allow players, regardless of their gaming ecosystem, to play together on PS5. , PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC. To reward players, whether for their loyalty or their return to the game, a pack containing various objects can be collected, until November 30.
Enough to keep players waiting until the release, scheduled for 2022, of the first paid extension of Outriders. Called “Worldslayer”, it remains very mysterious, but the trailer in the first part of the article allows us to better understand its apocalyptic atmosphere.
