After a bumpy launch, Outriders gets back on track with a post-launch patch and a consolation prize for aggrieved players.

A substantial patch that includes classic bug fixes and performance improvements, expected next week, while a first wave of balancing has already been deployed. Consolation prizes for players who had server issues at launch will be sent later.

Launched patch pods to change the face of Enoch

Beyond server issues, Outriders is unfortunately not free from bugs, untimely crashes, performance issues, and instability in multiplayer. The patch expected next week intends to rectify the shooting on a good part of these points, as much on consoles as on PC.

If, for the time being, cross-play between platforms is not yet in place, the deployment of this post-launch patch should finally make it available.

Outriders is also experiencing its first balancing wave, which has already been rolled out. This balance is particularly concerned with the ammo-related skills of Rogue, Pyromancer and Technomancer. Considered too powerful, these have received some leveling down in order to try to bring them back to the same level as the other skills of these classes.

Another point on which People Can Fly will come back next week: some Outriders have been victims of a total cleaning of their inventory. A particularly dramatic situation for a looter shooter. The Polish studio plans to restore lost equipment, but only from Epic and Legendary quality, and not necessarily with the same statistics.

A consolation prize for signal losses

The early days of Outriders were far from a smooth journey through space. In Europe, the first three nights saw server issues preventing anyone from logging into the game altogether, even for a single-player game. The situation seems to have stabilized today, but People Can Fly wants to make a gesture towards the players harmed in one way or another as a result of this bumpy launch.

Thus, all Outriders who fought on Enoch from April 1 to April 11, and those who had their inventory cleared, even after April 11, are eligible to receive this consolation prize. Thus, the highest level character of the players concerned will receive a legendary weapon of his level, as well as a certain amount of titanium, the rarest resource in the game. Finally, the account of those injured will receive the emote " Frustration”, which was initially to be integrated later in the game (a rather comical reward choice, but very circumstantial).

People Can Fly does not yet have a specific date to provide for the deployment of this consolation prize. Full details about it as well as the post-launch patch can be viewed via the dedicated Reddit post, cited in source below.
