It was expected and it has finally been made official! The new Nintendo Switch is a reality. We finally discover the new features embedded in this model which will be released at the end of the year.
And the main novelty is obviously at the level of its screen!

A beautiful screen for intense colors
Here we are ! After being the big absentee from this E3 2021, the new Nintendo Switch was presented by the Japanese brand. On the program of the festivities, an OLED screen with a diagonal of 7 inches. On its site, the manufacturer promises in particular more intense colors and higher contrasts. All for a more immersive gaming experience thanks to the thin borders on each side of this large slab.
But this Nintendo Switch does not stop there since it also reworks its portable dimension. Indeed, a large adjustable support has been placed on the back of the console. A system that allows you to play multiplayer in better conditions by placing the machine on a table. The Switch should be much better wedged than the basic version which has to be satisfied with a small tab that is not necessarily very solid.

The dock also changes
As for the docking station which connects the Nintendo Switch to a TV, it now has two USB ports, an HDMI and a new Ethernet port in order to obtain a more stable online connection. In addition, the internal memory of the console increases to 64 GB and the audio quality of the integrated speakers has been improved.
Unfortunately, contrary to what rumors could say, the machine is not 4K compatible. Nintendo later confirmed that the OLED will have the same components (CPU, RAM, etc.) as the 2017 Switch. So is this a transition version before the launch of another even more powerful Switch? Hard to say for now.
The Nintendo Switch OLED will be sold in white or black colors from October 8, 2021. The price in Spain has not yet been revealed, but it should be around 349 euros.
