Nintendo Switch Online: subscribers have access to a new advantage

The Nintendo Switch Online service welcomes a new feature this week. Subscribers can now earn Platinum Points by completing certain quests. And of course there are rewards.

If it already gave access to online multiplayer, cloud backups as well as NES and SNES emulators, Nintendo Switch Online has expanded its offer via a paid option called Additional Pack. In particular, it unlocks access to the Nintendo 64 and Mega Drive catalogs, but also to free DLCs such as for Animal Crossing: New Horizons. But it's not finished !

There is news !

Accessible from the console's main menu, the section reserved for Nintendo Switch Online now has a "Missions and rewards" section. By accomplishing fairly basic goals like going online once a week, using the Cloud for saves, launching Super Mario Bros. or use an app, the subscriber will get platinum points. These will then be redeemable for physical or digital rewards.

The list of digital rewards is updated every Tuesday. From the application on Nintendo Switch, it is possible to obtain frames, photos and other characters from games like Super Mario Odyssey or Animal Crossing. These elements can be used to design custom icons. That is quite nice.
