It took four and a half years to see this feature arrive on Nintendo Switch. Thus, the Japanese manufacturer's console is finally able to recognize audio devices connected via Bluetooth.

Update 13.0.0 arrives this Wednesday on Nintendo Switch. This patch comes with various new features, including one that particularly caught our attention. Indeed, the machine of the Japanese firm can now synchronize natively with audio devices in Bluetooth. This quite logically concerns helmets, simple earphones or speakers. An update also designed for the new dock

Thus, two wireless controllers and a Bluetooth audio device can be connected simultaneously to the same Switch. It is important to note that Bluetooth audio will be automatically disabled in local wireless mode (such as during a multiplayer game for example). Also, only one audio device at a time can be connected this way, but ten can be registered to a Nintendo Switch. However, Bluetooth microphones are not compatible.


Finally, the 13.0.0 update will allow the console to use the LAN port of the new dock which will be released at the same time as the Nintendo Switch OLED. It will even be possible to download software and DLC in standby mode. This feature obviously does not apply to the Switch Lite, which cannot be connected to a dock.
