In order to sustain its presence on the gaming scene, Amazon needs a first big success... And it may be with N. Indeed, the MMORPG of the American giant attracts many players during its closed beta.

After three postponements, and no doubt the development concerns that go with it, New World is about to open its servers to players around the world. But currently, it's a closed beta that welcomes the first users to the lands of Aeternum until August 2. The perfect opportunity to take the pulse before the launch scheduled for the end of August. According to the first figures, all the lights are green!

A good start and a promising future?

If we believe SteamDB data, the New World beta managed to gather more than 200 players (000 to be exact) simultaneously on July 200th. Amazon's game then rose to sixth place among the most popular titles on Valve's service this weekend. A good performance reinforced by the fact that the MMO is currently at the top of the Steam bestsellers.

If these results are encouraging, they obviously need to be put into context since many keys for the closed beta have been distributed free of charge. The success of New World will be judged over the long term. The game will be released on August 31, 2021.
