New World: server merger on the horizon?

Paradoxically, Amazon does not seem to know what to do with its servers on N, since a merger of the latter could be envisaged.

This is questionable news, since Amazon Games recently fought hard with the MMO itself to integrate the transfer of characters from one server to another.

Fusion of new worlds

This transfer of characters, intended to unclog servers, has in fact created the opposite problem. Many servers are now virtually devoid of any players. The fault is also, among other things, problematic bugs related to the currency or even an early economic crisis.

Players have shared their dismay on the game forums, believing that New World would now need a merger of servers. This is to mix depopulated servers and thus bring some life back to them. In addition to the difficulty of trading due to a low population, endgame PvE or PvP content is thus particularly difficult to accomplish, because it requires gathering a sufficiently large group.

Kay, developer of Amazon Games, has responded to such a complaint by indicating that “the merger of servers is on the horizon, but requires significant additional testing before being applied”. It remains to be seen how quickly the studio will be able to respond to this new problem, while the list of these unfortunately continues to grow over the weeks.
