Open to adventurers since September 28, N is unleashing crowds and servers, and Amazon Games is working on ways to fix these launch issues.
While it presents itself as the game that has gathered the most players on Steam in 2021, many of them are actually not able to just join the new world. The fault is in particular connection problems and a lack of space on the servers. On the official New World Twitter account, Amazon Games has announced that it is looking into the matter in order to propose solutions in the coming days.

New worlds will open soon in the New World
According to the Amazon studio, the launch of New World has far exceeded their wildest ambitions. More than a million adventurers have indeed wanted to go to this intriguing new world. Unfortunately, despite having one of the best server infrastructures in the world, Amazon had apparently not anticipated such enthusiasm.
Since the launch of the game four days ago, the studio announces that it has more than doubled the initial capacity of the servers and plans to increase it even more. As a reminder, each server was initially limited to 2 places. A limit quite insufficient in the face of a veritable horde of new settlers. Additional servers are also planned in the coming days.
In the meantime, Amazon Games recommends that the most impatient players join less populated servers, if there are any when they launch the game. The studio is also working on a feature expected next week that will transfer the characters from each to another server. This would therefore eventually allow groups to finally join, even if each member is in the interim on different servers.
Slowly but surely, the new world of Amazon Games should thus be able to accommodate most budding settlers. Except those affected by pure and simple launch problems, which the studio unfortunately did not mention in its last press release.
