On the occasion of an online event dedicated to Monster Hunter, Capcom said more about the future of Monster hunter rise on Switch.

The announcements for Monster Hunter Rise have been condensed into a trailer titled "Kamura's Hope." This one mentions a new free demo downloadable March 11 from the Nintendo eShop as well as free post-launch content. It also allowed us to have a quick overview of the few monsters that we will have to hunt and some techniques specific to each style of weapon.

A second demo with new content

Available from March 11, the new Monster Hunter Rise demo will reconnect with the content of the first, namely a hunt dedicated to beginners, and a more complex hunt. This demo will also introduce a new advanced level hunt.

It will indeed allow you to discover the Magnamelo, the new flagship monster of this opus. Mix between reptilian creature and tiger, this monster seems particularly ferocious and capable of handling an energy whose color is reminiscent of the draconic element.

Like the first demo, this second iteration will be limited to 30 attempts for the three hunts offered. It will also support co-op play to make it less intimidating, but will require a Nintendo Switch Online membership to do so.

Capcom resumes post-launch free content formula

Like Monster Hunter: World and its expansion Iceborne, Monster Hunter Rise will receive its share of free post-launch content. This wave of new content will begin at the end of April with the introduction of a well-known Elder Dragon from the license, the Chameleos.

This is just the first of a host of monsters that will appear wildly in the game as you go. Seasonal events like Halloween or Christmas will also undoubtedly animate the world of Kamura. Capcom intends to support Monster Hunter Rise for a long time, since a port is already planned for PC in 2022, following the dazzling success of Monster Hunter: World on Steam.

For now, remember that Monster Hunter Rise is expected as a temporary exclusive on Nintendo Switch on March 26.
