Minecraft: a player creates an 8-Bit processor that can play Tetris

It is a most original creation. A player of Minecraft created a giant 8-bit processor in the game.

It allows you to play cult games in Minecraft, like Tetris or Snake โ€“ well, almost.

An 8-Bit processor created in Minecraft

Everything is possible in Minecraft, even to create an 8-Bit processor with elements of the game. Normally, redstone, a system which allows to make electronic circuits, is used to create simple mechanics like a door which opens automatically by example. But when it falls into the hands of a creative person like user Sammyuri, it makes it possible to build complex minicomputers.

The videographer took seven months to build the Chungus 2 (Computation Humongous Unconventional Number and Graphics Unit), its 8-bit processor with a frequency of 1 Hz and 256 bytes of RAM. Once connected to a screen of 32 blocks by 32 and a large controller with four directional buttons, its creation allows you to play Tetris, Snake, the breakout or Connect 4, among others. The player even had the good idea to create gigantic cartridges, just for decoration. Obviously, the virtual machine is not a beast of competition and Sammyuri had to perform a timelapse to make the programs playable and watchable in real time, otherwise of course it's slow. Despite everything, we salute the effort.
