Long hoped for by fans but never announced by Nintendo, the compilation of the trilogy Metroid Prime would not be a myth. This is what several sources claim at the moment.

Nintendo Switch owners are eagerly awaiting news of Metroid Prime 4. Announced in June 2017 via a simple logo, the game hasn't shown anything concrete about it in over four years. Fortunately, there will be a new 2D opus to eat from October 8, 2021 via Metroid Dread. But that's not all…

The comeback of Samus?

According to Jeff Grubb, journalist at VentureBeat, a Metroid Prime Trilogy is indeed in the program. Even better, the development would have been completed for some time already and Nintendo would be waiting for the opportune moment to launch the compilation. This rumor, which dates from 2019, is also validated by Video Games Chronicle. The site would have obtained the same information through independent sources. But then why has this remaster still not arrived on our Switches?

It is very likely that the Japanese manufacturer wants to align the release of Metroid Prime Trilogy with that of Metroid Prime 4. The latter is the victim of a very complicated gestation with in particular a complete reboot of its development in early 2019. The trilogy could therefore released a few weeks before in order to revive the hype around the license.
