Metro Exodus on the way to the next-gen
Two years ago, Metro Exodus was launched on PS4, Xbox One and PC. Today, the developers promise an upcoming update, which will allow the game to take advantage of our new next-gen consoles.
Once the patch is applied, the game will run in 4K/60 fps on PS5 as on Xbox Series X, with ray-tracing as a bonus. To this will be added loading times revised downwards, but also support for the DualSense controller, spatial sound or even “Xbox controller latency improvements”. The PC version "Enhanced Edition" will have some additional bonuses, as shown in the table below.
Regarding the Xbox Series S, the developers explain: "Our goal is to achieve 1080p, while maintaining the other benefits, specifically the 60fps and fully ray-traced lighting throughout the entire game. ".
Obviously, this update will be offered for free to all players who have a PS4 or Xbox One copy of Metro Exodus. It remains to be seen now when the latter will be available.
