A little over three weeks still separate us from the release of Call of Duty: Vanguard. All the more reason for Activision to go all out to make us want to take an interest in this new opus, which marks the return of the license to the Second World War.
But rather than making us relive theaters of operations that, somewhere, the players already know well, it will be a question here of embodying a squad of special agents working to prevent the formation of a Fourth Reich.
Welcome to Task Force One
This new trailer gives the mic to Arthur Kingsley, the British soldier given the reins of Task Force One, tasked with operating under the radar to prevent the Axis from rising from the ashes after its defeat in 1945.
His team will be made up of Lucas Riggs, a demolitions expert (โwho has a problem with authority,โ says Kinglsey), Polina Petrova, the best sniper Stalingrad has ever had, Wade Jackson, a outstanding hunter, and Richard Webb, respected strategist and faithful friend of Kingsley.
As usual, Vanguard's campaign will consist of high-tension missions and top-notch CGI cutscenes, as these images show. And for those who are interested, Activision has also posted a video to learn more about the historical context and the characters of the game.
Call of Duty: Vanguard sortira le 5 novembre sur PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One et Xbox Series X|S.
