As demonstrated by last Thursday's PlayStation Showcase or the upcoming release of Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy, Marvel games are all the rage right now. One of the future superhero projects will feature one of the iconic members of the X-Men, namely Wolverine.

Unfortunately, we had to settle for a very short excerpt during Sony's event which gave us little information about Marvel's Wolverine. Currently at the very beginning of its development, the developers of Insomniac have made small clarifications.

A sharp and poignant story in sight?

Given the activity of Insomniac Games, which is likely to run at full speed over the next few years, the studio, now owned by Sony, wanted to clarify the scope of its project and the tone it will have.

It is therefore through the voice of Brian Horton, the creative director of Marvel's Wolverine, that the studio announced that the game will benefit from a resolutely adult tone and a substantial lifespan. At least, longer than Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales, although Marvel's Wolverine is being made by the team behind this recent stand-alone.

Logan, alias Wolverine, will therefore have the right to a game in its own right with very mature themes, as evidenced by the brutality shown by the superhero in the reveal trailer for the game, which is expected for the horizon 2023.

Other information to take into account, Marvel's Wolverine, presented during the PlayStation Showcase supposed to highlight the future of the PS5, has already confirmed that it will be exclusive to the Sony console, like the previous ones. Marvel games from the studio.
