In August 2020, Crystal Dynamics announced the arrival of the famous monte-en-l'air in Marvel's Avengers. The players have waited a long time (or not) but no new information has really been communicated in more than a full year. Till today…
Needless to say, Marvel's Avengers still hasn't recovered from its failed launch last year. Despite some more or less significant additions and other bug fixes, the title is still shunned by players. But in order to win back the hearts of superhero lovers, Crystal Dynamics plans to add Spider-Man to the list of playable characters.

The spider bides its time
In a press release published on the game's site, Square Enix recalled that Spider-Man will land in Marvel's Avengers this year. The publisher promises "more information about Spider-Man closer to launch and you may catch a glimpse of him here and there along the way." Remember that this addition was originally supposed to take place at the beginning of the year. But Crystal Dynamics had to tackle the many issues with its title first, causing delays in rolling out the new heroes.
Regardless, the Spider-Man character will remain exclusive to Marvel's Avengers PlayStation players.
