Lost Ark: character creation already limited on some servers

After successful early access, Lost Ark finally officially released on PC. But faced with the influx of tens of thousands of players, Smilegate took drastic measures.

South Korean free-to-play by Smilegate and Amazon Games is now accessible to everyone on a computer… Well, almost! Indeed, the Lost Ark has already attracted more than 500 players simultaneously on its servers. While success is generally a good thing, it can also have negative repercussions for a connected game. So the developers took action.

Saving restrictions?

Thus, Smilegate has chosen to limit the creation of characters on the following servers: Asta, Avesta, Azena, Kadan, Mari, Regulus, Trixion, Thirain, Una, Valtan and Zinnervale. It is especially central Europe that is affected by these disturbances. For its part, North America is ultimately little impacted. The studio thus hopes to limit the overload of the Lost Ark servers in order to limit the waiting time to play.

Finally, two new servers will soon open their doors. The first, Beatrice, will be reserved for the European zone and the second, Elzowin, for North American users. Hopefully these decisions will allow the game to handle this massive influx of players.
