Life is Strange: True Colors presents the first minutes of the game to the sound of Angus & Julia Stone

Two weeks before the curtain goes up, Square Enix publishes the first 15 minutes of Life is Strange: True Colors. A proper introduction to the character of Alex Chen, who we play in this new opus developed by Deck Nine.

The opportunity to remember that if the title loses its episodic aspect, it takes over the gameplay of its predecessors.

An ordinary girl, in an ordinary town

In this prologue, we witness the reunion of Alex with his brother, Gabe, who welcomes him to the town of Haven Springs after having lost sight of her for eight years.

For those who are not familiar with the formula, Life is Strange: True Colors is a narrative game where most of the gameplay consists of interacting with other characters using different dialogue choices, which lead to script branches. The particularity of this episode, however, lies in Alex's ability to read people's minds, in particular to try to influence their thoughts.

With its shimmering colors, its characters straight out of a teen movie and its folk soundtrack composed by Angus & Julia Stone, Life is Strange: True Colors looks exactly like what we expected from a new entry in the Licence.

Verification scheduled for JVFR on September 10, when the game will be available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. It will also be released by the end of the year on Nintendo Switch.
