Discreet since its announcement, Life is Strange Remastered Collection had made a mixed first impression with his first trailer

A few days before its release, the compilation bringing together the first game and its spin-off Life is Strange: Before the Storm is once again exhibited with a gameplay sequence and a comparative video.

A comparative video and gameplay in 4K

It was time. With no new Life is Strange Remastered Collection footage since its announcement, some fans were worried about a possible postponement. Square Enix spoke last week to reassure them: only the Switch version will be delayed. As promised, the compilation is talking about her again today to unveil new excerpts. Nevertheless, only Life is Strange first of the name is exhibited with 6 minutes of gameplay and a video comparing the first scene in Chloe's room with its original version. What to have a concrete overview of the work done for the compilation.

In addition to the switch to native 4K in the Unreal 4 engine with an overhaul of the lighting process, it is above all the new character models that are most striking. Max, Chloe or Nathan are more expressive than before, with new animations able to transcribe emotions, where their faces were impassive in the original version published in 2015. The lip synchronization has also received a facelift, even if we are still far from current standards or from what Life is Strange: True Colors had proposed.

Remember that Life is Strange Remastered Collection will be available on February 1 on PlayStation and Xbox consoles, PC and Stadia. Owners of the Deluxe version of True Colors will be able to download it at no additional cost, while the game can be purchased individually for 39,99 euros.
