Hideo Kojima wants to make different games for every player

As he polishes the output of Death Stranding Director's Cut, Hideo Kojima already has ideas for the rest of his video game adventures.

And the developer particularly wants to (re)offer a game that changes in real time, depending on the player.

The game where YOU are the hero

We no longer need to introduce Hideo Kojima, who has just celebrated his 58th birthday, one of the greatest creators in the video game industry, having notably worked on Snatcher, Metal Gear Solid, Zone of the Enders, Death Stranding… and Penguin Adventure on MSX.

While Death Stranding Director's Cut is fast approaching (failed), now the developer confides in his future desires. If he wanted to highlight the "human connection" aspect in Death Stranding, Hideo Kojima explains that video games can help convey important messages, and is also thinking about a game that could "be transformed in real time ".

A few years ago, Hideo Kojima offered GameBoy Advance players a very special game: Boktai. A title which then had a specific cartridge, equipped with a solar sensor. Thus, depending on the light captured by the cartridge, the game was transformed, and in particular made it possible to overcome vampires. The game was then “different” for each player. It is this kind of original idea that Hideo Kojima would like to be able to rework today.

At this time, Kojima Productions has not revealed the content of its next project. It remains to be seen now if Hideo Kojima's creativity will be in line with current video game standards, or if he will have to change his mind to offer a new, more "traditional" game.

In any case, there is no doubt that the next game from Kojima Productions should surprise us, in one way or another…
