Last April, the site VentureBeat reported that the father of Metal Gear was negotiating the development of a game with Microsoft. But with the announcement of Death Stranding on PS5 and the wild rumors surrounding Abandoned, we had reason to think that the legendary creator would finally stick with PlayStation…

Microsoft x Kojima, an association that makes sense?

But if we're to believe new information from VentureBeat reporter Jeff Grubb, Microsoft and Kojima have signed a "letter of intent" to team up on an Xbox game. The signing of this agreement would be close and the American firm would already begin preparations to meet the needs of the Japanese developer. But as for the final contract, it has not yet been approved.


Needless to say that these rumors are to be taken with a grain of salt while waiting for a hypothetical confirmation. Finally, still according to rumors, the game in question would be centered on the Cloud, which would make Microsoft a real partner of choice.
