The opportunity to see the work done by the Californian studio on one of the major pillars of the legendary FPS franchise, even if the cooperative campaign will unfortunately be absent at the launch on December 8 on PC, Xbox and Game Pass.

Update from 25/10 at 15:15 p.m.:

Thing promised, thing due: 343 Industries offered us a fresh look at the Halo Infinite campaign for six minutes. This presentation of course placed the emphasis on the open world that will be Halo Zeta, the first Halo on which Master Chief will set foot again since Halo 3. to Bungie's original artwork.

Following Halo 5 and Cortana's Rebellion, Master Chief must travel to Halo Zeta to learn more about his former partner and how to thwart her plans. To do this, he will have to return heaven and earth and eliminate all the Banished who are on his way. To achieve this, it will have the greatest freedom ever offered in a Halo title.

He will thus be entitled to a huge play area with a level design and very varied objectives. To equip himself, he can count on drops organized by his allies, recover the weapons of fallen Banished, and approach each zone with unparalleled freedom of action, while maintaining the iconic gameplay of the franchise.

It will also be possible to improve the Mjölnir armor in order to make more effective the various accessories that Master Chief will be able to discover over the course of his peregrinations. Finally, instead of Cortana, Spartan-117 will be accompanied by another artificial intelligence simply called “The Weapon”, originally responsible for containing our former comrade.

We also saw during this presentation that 343 Industries has not been idle, and Halo Infinite is graphically much more successful than what we saw last year. We now have only one hurry: finish the fight which will start on December 8 on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Game Pass.

Master Chief resumes service

More than a year has passed since the first presentation of Halo Infinite's single-player campaign. This had indeed disappointed in more ways than one, especially visually, forcing 343 Industries to postpone the release (initially planned at the same time as the Xbox Series X|S) for an entire year. After having extended at length on the multiplayer and a presentation in detail of the PC version, 343 Industries will finally satisfy the curiosity of the fans by talking about Master Chief again.

The description of the livestream tells us more about what will be shown later today:

“The Banished (a group of Covenant led by Brutes) have defeated the UNSC forces and taken control of the mysterious Halo Zeta, threatening the survival of Humanity. With all hope lost and the fate of mankind hanging in the balance, Master Chief returns to face the most formidable opponent he has ever faced. Here's a fresh look at Halo Infinite's campaign, introducing players to true Spartan freedom in the largest, most open and adventurous Halo experience yet. »

See you on deck at 15:00 p.m. PT to see what it's really like, Spartans!
