Halo Infinite: Co-op will not be available at launch

With a year behind its initial schedule, the studio 343 Industries will launch Halo Infinite this autumn. But despite this additional development time, this new opus will be amputated from part of its content at launch.

On this very weekend, the developers who are working hard on the highly anticipated Halo Infinite have published a video to take stock of different aspects of their game. It was also an opportunity to come back to the technical preview of the multiplayer mode which took place a few days ago. 343 Industries underlines the success of this beta while looking into the resolution of certain concerns.

Content launched in dribs and drabs

We also learn that the existence of Halo Infinite will be divided into seasons and that each will last approximately 3 months. As of now, 343 Industries has already worked out the roadmap for the first year after the game's release. Additionally, and this is when the bad news begins, the ability to play the campaign co-op will only arrive for season 2, i.e. in 2022. As for the Forge mode, it will only be deployed during season 3.

Thus, when it launches at the end of 2021, Halo Infinite will โ€œonlyโ€ offer its single-player campaign and multiplayer. The precise release date will be announced soon, probably during the Xbox conference at Gamescom which will be held on August 24 at 19:00 p.m.
