The modding community ofHalf-Life: Alyx continues to impress, this time with a mod planning to extend the story of the base game.
Called LEVITATION and developed by CoreyLaddo, this completely free mod that looks like an extension for Valve's VR masterpiece is scheduled for the third quarter of 2022. In the meantime, an impressive trailer comes to put us mouth watering.
Alyx in weightlessness
While the excellent Return to Rapture mod just recently received a second part, another extremely ambitious Half-Life mod: Alyx is on the horizon. Responding to the evocative name of LEVITATION, this mod intends to extend the main campaign with a solid lifespan of around four to five hours.
Alyx will be tasked with traveling to Sector X, controlled by the Cartel, in order to investigate a mysterious building in levitation in which Maya and Barry, two resistance fighters, have gone. This despite the warnings of the brilliant Russell. Our heroine will also once again be confronted with the mythical G-Man during her investigation.
In addition to the impressive visual work, CoreyLaddo was able to surround himself with talented voice actors to bring his story to life. Those who have already traveled through City 17 with their VR headset will therefore not be too out of place with this mod, which looks like an official extension.
Still in development, this mod should be released during the third quarter of 2022 and will be completely free to download via the Steam Workshop.
