God of War Ragnarok: Christopher Judge reveals the reasons for the postponement of the game

Last June, Santa Monica Studio announced the postponement of God of war ragnarok, initially planned for this year, to the year 2022 on PS5 and PS4. Yet another game postponement in a particular health context, but which, for once, does not seem linked to the pandemic.

Christopher Judge, the actor who voices Kratos since the episode of God of War released in 2018 on PS4 published a series of tweets explaining the reasons for the delay of the game.

Operations and emotion

Christopher Judge posted a series of emotional tweets overnight to explain the reasons for delaying God of War Ragnarok to the year 2022 and took the opportunity to share his love for Sony Santa Monica. He first warns that what he says has not been validated by anyone and comes only from him, who took the initiative to reveal the real reasons.

“I need to be frank. It has not been approved by anyone. To beloved fans, Ragnarok has been pushed back because of me. In August 2019 I could no longer walk. I had to have back surgery, I had both hips replaced and knee surgery. They waited for me to finish my rehabilitation. No threats, no "Who do you think you are?". Nothing but love and support. And Sony Santa Monica never said anything about the postponement and its reasons. The studios are assholes, but this company, top to bottom, should give us hope…”.

Funny little anecdote, Christopher Judge almost quit when he learned that Cory Barlog wouldn't be directing the game. But it was the latter who convinced him to stay by assuring him that the new director, Eric Williams, was totally trustworthy.
