A month after its release on PC, the reboot of God of War already teems with many mods and some are worth the detour! Already a success on the platform Steam from its launch, this second life of the first adventures of Kratos and Atreus is the best way to prepare for the release of God of War: Ragnarök on PS4 et PS5 This year !

Today, it is a very particular mod that is being talked about. For those who are tired of playing the Spartan warrior, there is now an alternative: Atreus, the son of Kratos, can now be played!

Agility at the expense of brute force!

While some rave about the magnificent graphics performance that God of War can achieve on PC, others rack their brains to try it again. This is precisely what modder Speclizer is doing since it should soon be possible to live the story of the game in the skin of the frail and agile Atreus.

The modder is not at his first attempt since he made himself known thanks to his work on The Last of Us Part II, but he will still need a little time for players to be able to trying to create it which, according to him, "is clearly not the most fluid experience" and still requires a lot of work.

However, this does not prevent him from giving everyone a taste of his work by posting a few excerpts of different fights taking place during the adventure on YouTube. A large portion of the video is devoted to the fight against Baldur and allows us to observe the particular way Atreus has to move.

If in this way he becomes an expert in the art of dodging, his bow skills are a hit against the many opponents present in the video: he will also need it since we realize that fights do not involve Kratos. Anyway, we can only applaud the preliminary work of Speclizer which announces a very promising mod!
