The sentence has fallen for an extremely controversial Ubisoft game. Thereby, Ghost Recon Breakpoint sees its development stop barely two and a half years after its release. So there will be no more new content…

When it launched in October 2019, Ubisoft Paris' third-person shooter received very mixed reviews from the specialized press. Over the months, the Spanish studio has reviewed its copy by deploying a multitude of updates. But, after more than 11 patches, Ghost Recon Breakpoint finally bows out.

The end has come!

Recently, the developers had launched several major updates, including the Operation Motherland mode and new objects for the 20th anniversary of the license. A small controversy had also erupted following the arrival of NFTs in the game. Anyway, Ghost Recon Breakpoint will no longer receive any new features, since its development is officially over. However, the servers will remain active.

At the end of 2019, Yves Guillemot, the boss of Ubisoft, pointed to the disappointing commercial and critical performance achieved by Ghost Recon Breakpoint. So much so that the game had been held partly responsible for the postponements of several titles including Watch Dogs Legion and Immortals Fenyx Rising.
