The rumor had been circulating for several months and it finally materialized today. In effect, Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed has just been made official. But this new game will probably not please everyone.
Last December, an actor from the famous saga sold the wick by declaring that a new Ghostbusters video game was in preparation. We now have confirmation since this title was announced this week by Illfonic. The American studio recently launched Predator: Hunting Grounds and Arcadegeddon on Sony consoles and PC.
Two sides will face each other
This Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed comes in the form of an asymmetrical 4 vs 1 multiplayer title. The player can take control of one of the four Ghostbusters whose objective will be to catch the ghost that roams the map. A fifth player will have the opportunity to control this famous ghost capable of teleporting, possessing objects and even summoning ghostly allies. The appearance of all these beautiful people will be customizable and the equipment can be improved.
It is important to note that playing offline will also be possible. In this case, bots will replace the missing players. Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed will be released later this year on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC. This latest version will be exclusive to the Epic Games Store.
