A few weeks ago, on the sidelines of the release of the edition Director's Cut de Ghost of Tsushima, Sucker Punch announced the availability of the multiplayer mode, titled Legends, in stand-alone for September 3 on PS4 and PS5. On the occasion of the release today, the brand new "Rivals" mode is illustrated in video.

Beyond adding this brand new mode to the multiplayer experience, the stand-alone version of Ghost of Tsushima: Legends also receives all of the updates made over the last ten months, including adjustments to the "Survival" mode.

Sharp rivalries between samurai

With a video extract released for the occasion, Ghost of Tsushima: Legends lifts the veil on this famous “Rivals” mode as well as the equipment mastery system that feeds the freshly deployed update.

The principle of this mode is very simple: four players, split into two teams of two players, chain waves of enemies that leave behind Magatama. These items will allow you, among other things, to hurt the opposing team, hinder it or inflict various penalties on it in order to be the first to defeat waves of enemies.

The equipment mastery system, on the other hand, offers players who have acquired level 110 equipment the possibility of linking it to a class and activating its “mastery challenges”. Once these are successful, the level of the equipment will extend up to 120 and can even acquire a second slot of advantage.

In addition to these new features, Sucker Punch took advantage of the release of the stand-alone to make some adjustments and improvements through a light patch, moving the game to version 2.08.
