After its stunning commercial success on PS4, Ghost of Tsushima will abandon the video game to conquer Hollywood. Indeed, a film adapted from the title of Sucker Punch has just been announced by Sony.

In addition to receiving some great awards last year, Ghost of Tsushima convinced players despite its new license status. Since its release in July 2020, the game from studio Sucker Punch (Sly Cooper, inFamous) has sold 6,5 million copies worldwide. Already very cinematic on certain plans, the PS4 exclusive will therefore adapt to the big screen soon.

A samurai movie from the director of John Wick

Like the future series The Last of Us or the feature film Twisted Metal, PlayStation Productions will be responsible for producing the film Ghost of Tsushima. Chad Stahelski, director and producer on the John Wick saga, is announced as director. He will be supported by Alex Young and Jason Spitz who will handle production through their company 87Eleven Entertainment.

Of course, studio Sucker Punch Productions will be overseeing the project to ensure some continuity with the game. As of now, we don't know anything about the script, the cast, or even the release window. We will have to wait.
