At the beginning of July, Sony confirmed the existence of Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut with some improvements for players PS5. However, the Japanese manufacturer also plans to release an expansion for the game next August.
If this Director's Cut will also be released on PS4, it should still be more pleasant to browse on PlayStation 5. In terms of optimizations, players will benefit from 4K resolution up to 60 fps, 3D audio, faster loading and haptic feedback via the DualSense controller. But the main attraction of this new edition is the new extension entitled The Island of Iki.
A dark adventure looms on the horizon
It is via the PlayStation Blog that Sucker Punch today unveiled a trailer for this big DLC. Players will have the opportunity to explore a new place, that is to say the famous island of Iki. Jin Sakai will be confronted there by an extremely powerful shaman who calls herself "the Eagle". She is spreading terror with her Mongol tribe, and it will be up to our samurai to hunt them down. In addition to the main quest, secondary activities and places to explore will be part of the game.
Finally, Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut will be released on August 20 on PS5 and PS4. Owners of the initial game will be able to get an upgrade to this definitive version by paying 19,99 euros on PS4 or 29,99 euros on PS5. Players with the Director's Cut edition on PS4 will be able to switch to the PS5 version for 9,99 euros.
