On the occasion of a dedicated livestream, miHoYo revealed the release date of the 2.3 update of Genshin impact as well as its content.
On the program, return to the Dosdragon Mountains to get into the winter atmosphere, new events, new playable characters and a panoply of new animals for the Sérénithéière.
A release date for Update 2.3
Winter is preparing to arrive in Teyvat. "Shadows in the Heart of the Blizzard", Genshin Impact's 2.3 update will be deployed from November 24 on all platforms where the game is available. To celebrate the end of the year holidays as it should be, the new update will take players to the Dosdragon Mountains. This season, the Adventurers' Guild is organizing a winter camp there; the opportunity to discover new parts of history with Albedo and Eula.
A special training consisting of three challenges will also be available in the region: an elaborate race with special bonuses, a tracking training where you will have to melt piles of ice and a challenge focused on fighting against Ice element enemies. . Note that at the end of this training, players will be able to create their own "chubby snowman" in game by collecting special pieces, then display it in their Serenitheater.

In addition, the event "The Affair of the Bantan Sango: The Warrior Dog" will ask you to return lost animals to their owners. At the end of this event, players will receive primogems and a new gadget, the Omnifilet of Ubiquity, allowing them to capture the essence of certain small creatures and recreate their aspects in the Serenitheater. Note that Paimon will also be able to stay in their kingdom as a guest after this update.
Arataki Itto and Gorou arrive as playable characters
Genshin Impact's 2.3 update will mainly mark the arrival of Arataki Itto (5 stars) and Gorou (4 stars) as playable characters. The first is an iron-willed gang leader who wields a two-handed sword. His Elemental Unleash "Evil Oni King: Rise of Itto" allows him to inflict Geo damage with all of his attacks. In this state, his physical and elemental resistances decrease and his attack increases based on his defense.
Gorou meanwhile is a Geo archer, great general of Watatsumi Island. He promises to be a support of choice for teams composed only of fighters of the same element since he can grant different bonuses to his comrades, which increase exponentially depending on the number of Geo characters in the team. To learn more about them, a new story quest for Arataki Itto will be available as well as new getaways for Gorou and Beidou.

In addition to these new characters, players will be able to recruit Albedo and Eula during the first phase of version 2.3. For the first time, Wishes from both Banners will count together towards the 5-Star Character Guarantee. In other words, if you invoke the banner of Eula without obtaining it, the "pity" system will also apply for that of Albedo.
