The universe of Fortnite is currently thrown into full terror as part of its Halloween event, aptly called "Nightmares". While skins and other pop-culture characters, such as Rick Grimes de The Walking Dead, join the cast of the game from Epic Games, it is another monument of science fiction which is about to integrate the battle royale.
The United States is about to welcome the latest achievement by Denis Villeneuve, already released in our latitudes for a month, and Epic Games intends to reserve a place of choice for the work of Frank Herbert in its game.
Fortnite climbs the Dune of Success
With a very good success at the Spanish box office, it is not surprising to say that the popularity of the film will be just as much, if not more, at the rendezvous across the Atlantic. And what better for Fortnite, whose teams would be working on a cinematic adaptation of the game, than to join forces with one of the most popular films of the moment. If nothing has yet been formalized at the moment, it will not be long, especially since certain elements have already been identified.
We owe this find in particular to Hypex, a rather active insider within the Fortnite community. According to him, a large number of cosmetics from the Dune universe are about to enter the game, including two new skins that take up the features of the characters played by Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya.
Thus, Paul Atreides and Chani would benefit from a bundle sold within the game store at a price still unknown, all embellished with some cosmetics. Note that another bundle should also make its appearance and would offer players a handful of other cosmetics including an emote, a glider and the traditional harvest pickaxes in the colors of Dune.
The game store has, moreover, already prepared for the launch of this crossover, which in particular makes Hypex say that the release is very close, even imminent. Given that the film is releasing in the United States this Friday, Fortnite should indeed be riding the wave of sand Dune very quickly.
