After long months of absence, Fortnite is back on mobile devices. However, this decision was not recorded by Google or Apple but by Microsoft which opens free access via the Cloud.

To launch Fortnite on mobile, players have until now been forced to go through Samsung's Galaxy Store or via the Epic Games site for the Android version. On iOS, only users who downloaded the game before it was banned are able to play version 13.40. Today, Xbox is coming to everyone's aid by rolling out a more convenient solution.

Thus, it is by going to Xbox.com/play from an internet browser that it is now possible to launch Fortnite via the Xbox Cloud Gaming (beta). To play it, all you need is a Microsoft account and an iOS, iPadOS or Android phone or tablet (it also works from a Windows PC). The American manufacturer makes it clear that no subscription or download is required to access Fortnite in this way.

For the moment, 26 countries including Spain are concerned. Touch and joystick controls are available. This is the first time that a free-to-play title has landed in Xbox's cloud gaming catalog and others will follow. Note in passing that Fortnite is also playable on mobile via GeForce Now during the closed beta.
