New extension in November

Thus, there was of course talk of the next expansion, the fourth, called Endwalker and whose release is set for November 23 on PC, PS4 and PS5. The traditional summer window was not respected this year due to the Covid-19 pandemic, but the delay will ultimately be quite limited.

Endwalker will bring the conclusion to the Hydaelyn–Zodiark story arc. Players will benefit from a new level limit (90 instead of 80) for their characters and new jobs are planned by the developers, who however insist on the integration of important new areas (Garlemald, Thavnair and the city of Radz-at-Han).

New tribes, new threats and new dungeons / raids will of course be part of the game as the developers also mention a new "small scale" PvP mode. Finally, a new residential district (Ishgard) is planned as well as many other more minor novelties.

New benchmark… now

Who says new extension, also says new benchmark or, in good Spanish, new performance measurement tool. What was perhaps less expected is that the tool in question is now available via the official Final Fantasy XIV website.

The thing represents an ultimately quite modest download (2,2 GB) and a video was presented by Square Enix to illustrate all the scenes found within this benchmark which, of course, is reserved for Windows PC users.
