A little less than two years after the dazzling first part of Final Fantasy VII Remake, the second part is ardently desired.

But the celebration of 25 years of the license in Japan was an opportunity for Square Enix to indicate that it should be announced this year.

The sequel to Fantasy

Interviewed during the event celebrating this pivotal year for the legendary franchise, the director of the original Final Fantasy VII, Yoshinori Kitase, said more about the future of the license. “We are working hard on Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis [jeu mobile – Ndlr], so follow that very closely. Regarding the highly anticipated second part of the Remake, we will have new information to share…this year if all goes well”.

Cooked on this much more interesting second part of his declaration, Yoshinori Kitase clarified: “We have just started the celebration of 25 years of Final Fantasy and we want the fans to be excited. In this 12 month span, we therefore want to share more information about the future of the license. So stay tuned! ".

Almost two years after the release of the first part on PS4 and a solid Intergrade extension having magnified everything on PS5 then PC via the Epic Games Store, it would be high time to learn more about the second part. Square Enix has indeed remained very discreet on this point, except for the fact that Naoki Hamaguchi, co-director of the first part, will fully embrace the role of director for the second.

As Yoshinori Kitase says so well, it will therefore be necessary to be patient for new information.
