The output of F, in April 1994, clearly brought the license of Square Enix (Square, at the time) to a new dimension. Aware of the potential of its classics, the Japanese publisher unveiled a compilation called Pixel Remaster, a grouping of episodes one through six.
This collection will also reach its peak tomorrow with the release of the remastered version of the sixth installment which should contain some nice surprises like the one recently revealed by the Japanese magazine Famitsu.
A sublimated cult passage!
Tomorrow is a big day for Final Fantasy fans as the Pixel Remaster version of Final Fantasy VI will be available on Steam, iOS, and Android. Along with updated graphics and a series of gameplay enhancements, the remaster gets a re-orchestrated soundtrack, as we heard with the opening theme when the game was announced. release date.
But that's not all ! This Super Nintendo classic has decided to surprise players by tackling a legendary scene in the game, namely that of the opera. In this passage, players take on different tasks, including a fight against Orthros, to make the show happen and can enjoy Nobuo Uetmasu's compositions.
That's for the SNES version! The Pixel Remaster version, for its part, offers to revisit this magical scene by giving it real songs: players can already be reassured, the Spanish dubbing is indeed in the game (alongside the Japanese, English, Italian, German, Spanish and Korean)!
However, it is not only the musical aspect of this section of the game which has been reworked since we can see that the aesthetics of this scene has been modified in order to display a 3D rendering and a graphic style which is reminiscent of Octopath Traveler's 2D-HD touch. A joy, but also a heartbreak for players who would have liked a complete remastering in this style.
