The popularity of Final Fantasy 14 got the better of the servers. The production teams and Square Enix had been forced to remove the MMORPG from sale during the launch of the highly anticipated expansion endwalker so as not to create longer queues and give newcomers a bad impression.

A situation that should end by the end of the month, announced Naoki Yoshida, producer of Final Fantasy 14.



Digital versions of FF 14 back soon

FF 14 will be back on sale for download on the morning of January 25, 2022 at 9 a.m. when a data center for Oceania opens which will add five new worlds. On this occasion, transfer fees will be waived for players in the region to encourage them to migrate to these new servers. As for the transfer service, which allows players to move to another world, it will resume on January 26. It will nevertheless be necessary to wait until a next update to hope to transit to a region or a data center of another region.

As for Europe, we will still have to wait. Shortage of components obliges, the arrival of data centers for the main regions will take longer than expected. The European server expansion will take place in two phases. The first will take place in July 2022 with two new worlds and the second will arrive in the summer of 2023 with eight new worlds.
