FF7 Remake: the PS5 upgrade will finally be offered to PS Plus subscribers

A news that should delight fans of Final Fantasy VII and PS Plus subscribers.

Indeed, Square-Enix will allow them to download the PS5 version of the game for free.

Final Fantasy VII Remake: the good news of Christmas!

In April 2020, Square-Enix launched the long-awaited Final Fantasy VII Remake on PS4. The following year, the game came to PS5 in an “Intergrade” version, an improved version to take advantage of the power of the new generation PlayStation. The PS4 game was then “offered” on the PS Plus… but without the precious PS5 upgrade.

As Christmas approaches, Square-Enix announces that players who have downloaded Final Fantasy VII Remake via PS Plus will be able to update the game for free on their PS22 from December 5. Excellent news, therefore, which should invite more than one player to dive back into the heart of Midgar during the holiday season.

Remember that the Intermission DLC (with Yuffie) is not included in the “Intergrade” update, but that the latter will however be displayed with a 25% discount for the holidays. If the majority of players are delighted, some however regret the reversal of strategy by Square-Enix, which could have offered this PS5 upgrade as soon as the game was launched on the PS Plus…
