A rich world

As we know, Far Cry (and even Ubisoft in general for their open world franchises) have always had this idea of developing rich and varied environments to take players on a journey. The island of Yara, for this new episode, is no exception to the rule when we see the images. It would almost give it a little air of Far Cry 3 with its abundant jungles, if the Latin culture of the Caribbean was not so present (architecture, language, etc.).

We also know a little more about the scenario (at least from part of the game) with this story of Viviro, a drug to fight cancer, produced by Anton Castillo, the local dictator. According to the information in the video, this drug would be used by the leader as a bargaining chip with other countries and he would be helped in his business by an American (a second villain to fight later in the game?).

We therefore understand that our character, to choose between the male or female version, Dani Rojas, will have to put an end to the production of this drug to weaken Castillo. He or she can count on the help of various groups of guerrillas that we will meet over the course of the adventure: the Monteros, Maximas Matanzas, Moral or the Legends of 67.

Management and personalization

If we do not seem to be moving towards a micro and complex management of its acolytes, Far Cry 6 will nevertheless offer access to one or more camps that it will be possible to customize and expand to make them operational bases. Players will be able to build new small upgradable buildings which will each bring new opportunities (recruitment, new weapons, help for hunting or fishing) and new ways to play.

Our hero/heroine will also be entitled to personalization since in addition to outfits, it will be possible to craft pieces of armor or equipment for weapons in order to make them ever more powerful. Similarly, vehicles can be tuned and transformed into real war machines. Oh, and we can pet the little dog.

In short, Far Cry 6, like its predecessors, should give us plenty to keep us busy when it comes out on October 7th.
