Elden Ring: what could the game look like on PS1?

Elden Ring: what could the game look like on PS1?

This is the great fashion of recent years: the 32-bit aesthetics of PS1 games make nostalgics dream. And, in the wake of the very recent Bloodborne PSX, YouTuber Hoolopee signs a unmark from the trailer ofElden Ring.

But unlike the developer behind Bloodborne PSX, no real game is to be expected. We will therefore be satisfied with this diversion before a possible motivated developer tackles the project.

It was better before ?

From Dusk to PS1 Haunted Demo Discs, Broken Reality or, to a lesser extent, A Short Hike, it's clear that the aesthetics of PS1 and N64 games inspire indie developers. Some choose to make real titles, like those mentioned above, while others simply use their skills to twist reality and present it in a new light. Or rather old. Finally you have the idea.

Specialized in graphic manipulations of all kinds, Hoolopee (pronounced “who law pee” informs us of his YouTube page) made himself known in particular with a video illustrating a mini portal gun, taken from the eponymous game, or a PS1 demake of the trailer from Death Stranding.

So here he is back in business with the video game card of the moment: Elden Ring. And not content to offer his own vision of the launch trailer, the creator also invites us to compare it with the original version in a separate video.

So, does that make you feel like it?
