Available for three weeks now, Elden Ring panics all the counters. FromSoftware just released a statement announcing record sales figures for its first action-RPG in the open world.

The Japanese studio and its publisher Bandai Namco are proud to announce that Elden Ring has already sold more than 12 million copies worldwide, including 1 million in Japan alone, and more than 147 in Spain. according to specialist Oscar Lemaire. A plebiscite like FromSoftware has never experienced before.

The game of all records?

Acclaimed by players and the press - already the second highest rated game in the world on OpenCritic -, Elden Ring has sold by the pallets since its release on February 25th.

To properly measure the performance of FromSoftware, we must remember that the Dark Souls trilogy has sold a total of more than 27 million copies in 10 years. Four years after its release, Dark Souls 3 had sold 10 million units. FromSoftware's new production is therefore well on its way to breaking all records and exceeding all expectations of the studio and its publisher.

Yesterday, we also learned that Elden Ring signs the best launch of a new license in Europe since The Division in 2016. In the United States, FromSoft's role-playing game signs the best commercial start since the release of Call of Duty: Vanguard in November 2021.
