Demakes are all the rage right now, and it didn't take long for the hugely popular Elden Ring gets its own pixel cure.

After revisiting the trailer for the PS1 version game, now a fan is working on a Game Boy demake of FromSoftware's monumental action-RPG.

Visions of pixels in sight… For pixels, hooray!

Shintendo shared what the Elden Ring Game Boy tutorial would look like in a short video.

It is clear that rehabilitation is particularly convincing. Despite the rendering of the Game Boy, we recognize the different places, enemies and objects that we find after creating our Sans-Éclat.

On the gameplay side, we necessarily lose a little depth compared to the original game. But Shintendo was inspired to be mistaken by that of The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening. The overall result offers a solid representation of what gaming could have been like on Nintendo's venerable handheld console.

To achieve this feat, Shintendo uses GB Studio 3.0 and intends to offer sooner or later a version playable on (virtually) any machine. But his project is still far from over. He plans to at least fully rehabilitate the Necrolimbo region by the end of May.

However, this ambitious project could go further, depending on its success. Either way, you can follow the progress of this Game Boy demake of Elden Ring on Shintendo's Twitch channel, cited in source below.
