E3 2022: the Californian show is completely canceled!

It is now certain, there will be no E3 this year. The organizers have finally decided to clearly confirm the information. However, the Californian show has not completely given up…

After the announcement of the cancellation of the physical show last January, the ESA (for Entertainment Software Association) seemed to focus on an exclusively digital edition for its E3 2022. However, this solution was not adopted. Indeed, we have received confirmation that the show dedicated to the video game industry will not be repeated this summer.

Here come a (presque) new challenger !

It was in an email sent to several representatives of the biggest publishers and to the press that the ESA announced that the dematerialized format of E3 would not take place in 2022 either. We are already looking forward to seeing you next year for an “invigorated” edition that is both physical and digital. But the month of June 2022 will not be empty of announcements...

Indeed, as soon as the information of the cancellation of E3 was made public, Geoff Keighley (the producer of the Game Awards) jumped on the occasion to communicate about his Summer Game Fest which will take place in June. This event will be entitled to a big opening ceremony full of announcements as well as entertainment spread over several days.
