After the remarkable launch of its second work, it's the turn of the first Dying Light to return to center stage. Released last year on Nintendo Switch, Techland's game is now attacking next-gen consoles.

Already noticed last October, the next-gen version of Dying Light will finally take the form of a simple update. Before moving on to the improvements made by this free patch, it is important to specify that it is currently only available on PlayStation consoles. Xbox players will have to wait.

Speeding up zombies!

Let's start with the contributions intended for the PS5 and Xbox Series X versions. Dying Light has three distinct modes. We have the performance mode at 60 FPS with Full HD resolution, a balanced mode that aims for 60 FPS (with no doubt some drops), but in 1440p, and finally, the one that favors visual fidelity in 4K at 30 FPS. On PS4 Pro, an improvement has been made to the framerate, which remains at 30 FPS. Finally, on Xbox Series S and Xbox One, the high resolution mode reaches 1440p aiming for 30 FPS and the one favoring performance at 30 FPS for a Full HD definition.

The upgrade is downloadable right away on PlayStation. For now, Techland has not given a specific date for the arrival of the patch on Xbox.
