Dying Light 2: Notice to completionists, you should get what you pay for

Waiting around Dying Light 2 is nearing its end, and the game's long development time might not have been usurped.

Techland has indeed accelerated the communication around its FPS tinged with Action-RPG, by announcing rather delirious figures concerning the lifespan and the objects to be collected.

Dying Social Life ?

Officially passed Gold since the end of November, Dying Light 2 has now entered a phase of optimization and intense communication until its announced release on February 4. This went through in particular the configurations required on PC, the skill tree of the main character, or even the cast that the game will have.

Yesterday, the game's official Twitter account was talked about again by promising a total lifespan to complete Dying Light 2 at 100% of… 500 hours.

An update to the original tweet, however, must have answered many questions from fans, stating that finishing the story, the side quests and doing some exploration should take you less than a hundred hours. Let's bet that 500 hours will be necessary above all to recover objects to collect with a more or less dispensable utility.

It would seem that Techland likes the number 500, since it is also the number of pieces of equipment that can be acquired in the game, according to a previous tweet from the official account.

Remember that Dying Light 2 will integrate some Action-RPG mechanics, such as equipment statistics. With 500 pieces on the clock, the possibilities for building different builds are likely to be quite interesting.

But we will soon be able to see if Techland's claims turn out to be artificially inflated or not, since Dying Light 2 will be released on February 4 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch (Cloud).
