Victim of review bombings in a loop, in particular on Steam, the PC version of Deathloop receives its first patch correcting jerk problems.

More specifically, this first patch addresses jerks caused by camera movements with the mouse.

Correction loop

Unlike the PS5 version of the game, which seems relatively spared, the PC version turns out to be affected by numerous problems with jerks, freezes, and even crashes. If, at first glance, the responsibility for these worries had been attributed to the Denuvo anti-piracy software, a more in-depth investigation ruled out this hypothesis.

Arkane Lyon is therefore working to study each element that could cause these major inconveniences. A first track is related to camera movements with the mouse, causing some jerks. A problem that should now be fixed thanks to the latest patch.

The Lyon studio is now interested in another problem that can cause jerks when the game is running at more than 60 fps. Dinga Bakaba and his team of Visionaries will be sure to update us in due course, once Colt has found and eliminated the source of these inconveniences. It remains to be seen when we will learn more.

To avoid inadvertently breaking the loop, future patches put in place by Arkane Lyon can be tested via the dedicated beta branch, available for example on Steam by right-clicking on the game in its library, then going to the Betas tab.

In the meantime, if you have one on hand, you can better enjoy Deathloop on PS5 as a temporary exclusive. The game will be coming to Xbox One and Series X|S consoles, and most likely Game Pass, in September 2022.
