One month before the release of the Director's Cut version, which is not a Director's Cut strictly speaking according to Kojima, Death Stranding does not only make people talk about it through its reissue, no. It is also through the voice of its main actor, namely Norman Reedus, that the projects around the universe of Death Stranding reveal themselves.
The actor had already declared in the past, at the microphone of Wired, that he was in a phase of talks with Kojima Productions to work on other things. But just recently, the latter has been a little more talkative.

Between Hideo Kojima and Norman Reedus, it's a rolling business! And it is not the sales figures for Death Stranding, unveiled last month, which will contradict us. The results, announced by Jay Boor, in charge of publishing at Kojima Productions, mentioned five million copies sold.
This score corroborates the success of the game, which Norman Reedus himself describes as "huge", and should grow even further with the upcoming release of the Director's Cut edition. The additions of this next version, supposed to make the very conceptual proposal of the game more accessible, could make many players take the plunge.
But beyond this reissue, what about the sequel and will there be one? Recent statements by Norman Reedus, with AdoroCinema, report negotiations around a sequel and the actor is rather confident about the possibility of its development: “I think we are going to do a second Death Stranding. [The game] is being negotiated right now. So... Yay! »
However, don't expect a direct sequel. Kojima, who had already expressed in the past his desire to continue his collaboration with Norman Reedus, had declared that in the event of a sequel, he would start from scratch.
