It's now official, the remake of Dead Space will not be released this year. To be forgiven, the EA Motive teams organized a live event full of short gameplay sequences. Thrill guaranteed!

Communication around Dead Space has just resumed and Electronic Arts will undoubtedly reveal a lot more to us in the coming weeks. But while waiting for a proper presentation orchestrated by the American publisher, the developers themselves promote their game through live performances that are both technical and exciting.

An unchanged horrific atmosphere

On March 11, EA Motive gave us a stream that focused on the audio dimension of the remake of Dead Space. This includes environmental sounds, those related to weapons or even the sounds made by the protagonist of this sordid epic. On this occasion, the developers have designed a new system called ALIVE. The latter adapts the breathing but also the voice of Isaac according to his level of health, his fears or even the actions that the player performs (like running for example).

The video above offers a glimpse into the oppressive atmosphere of the game. Four other clips are available on YouTube. Keep in mind that the development is not finished and the rendering of the scenes will be improved over the weeks. Dead Space will arrive in early 2023.
